College Prep

Anthony Martinez

Franciscan High School students engage in coursework designed to prepare them for success in college. Core subjects – English, science, mathematics, social studies, theology, foreign language, and the arts – provide the foundation for our college preparatory education.

The Franciscan High School academic program also emphasizes thinking strategies, personal responsibility, and lifelong learning behaviors necessary for success in both the classroom and the workplace.

At Franciscan High School, our academic program paves the way to college. Our goal is that 100% of our graduates will be accepted into college. We have a rigorous and balanced curriculum that includes AP and Dual Enrollment courses.

From the moment an interested applicant becomes a Franciscan High School student, we work toward his or her success. Our freshmen will participate in Young Professionals Training over the summer before entering high school to prepare them for our Corporate Work Study Program and our academic program. In addition, we offer tutoring and other supports for students who to ensure that all students have the opportunity to find success at our school.

Our students participate in service to our Baton Rouge community.  In all ways, we nurture our students to be men and women in service to others through academic achievement, professional work experience, faith formation, and civic leadership.
