Cristo Rey Baton Rouge Franciscan High School

Mentor-A-Senior Program

The Franciscan High School Mentor-a-Senior Program is a unique opportunity for individuals who want to use their talents to make a real difference in a young person’s life. We ask mentors to draw on their experience as college graduates and corporate professionals to give advice to students who may be the first in their immediate families to go to college or work in a corporate office.

The mentor’s main purpose is to provide support and guidance during and through the college application and acceptance process. This may include support to complete financial aid forms, preparation for any interviews, etc. We ask mentors to commit to at least 5 months of service with the hopes that they will continue their relationship with their mentees into the student’s college career.
